Freemansburg, Steel City, Whitehall Firefighters Complete Emergency Vehicle Driver Training Course

On March 26, 2011, members of Freemansburg Fire Company (NC Station 12), Steel City Fire Company (NC Station 63) and Whitehall Fire Department (LC Station 40) successfully completed the 16-hour Emergency Vehicle Driver Training program. Course instruction was provided by PA State Fire Academy Instructor June Allman.

Congratulations to all the members!

The Freemansburg Fire Administration extends the department's gratitude to Marvin Gruber, Assistant Director, Building Services, Grounds & Campus Safety, for authorizing the use of Northampton Community College's north parking lot for the practical session, NCC Campus Safety staff members for their hospitality and provision of more than 50 traffic cones, and to Bethlehem Township Fire Chief David Stapinski for the provision of 28 traffic cones. Thank you, gentlemen!

The conclusion of this program marks the seventh course various members of the Freemansburg Fire Company have successfully completed in 2011. The members' diligence in managing their respective (and hectic) schedules in order to attend these training programs is a terrific example of their commitment not only to their professional development as firefighters, but also to their commitment to providing the highest level of emergency services to the community. The Freemansburg Fire Administration is extremely proud of each and every one of you!
